Privacy choices and analytics

This notice explains the analytics tools used on the site and how to change your choice.

Analytics and your choices

Publisher and contact

Rise and Rank publishes Industrial Marketing Guide and is included in the agency directory. For questions about this notice or the site's analytics, contact [email protected].

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics

The site can load Google Tag Manager (GTM) when its deployment configuration is enabled. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is configured through that GTM container; GA4 is not installed directly in the Astro site. Where enabled, GA4 helps Rise and Rank understand visits to pages, agency comparisons, research downloads, and links to Rise and Rank.

The site's custom events contain a page path, agency slug and profile type, download file name and type, or an outbound link and its placement. They do not include form entries, names, email addresses, or other user-entered details. Page and link paths omit query strings and fragments.

Advanced Consent Mode

Before Google measurement tags run, the GTM consent template sets analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization to denied. Advertising-related consent stays denied whether you accept or reject analytics.

With Advanced Consent Mode, consent-aware Google tags may send cookieless measurement signals to Google while analytics storage is denied. Rejecting analytics does not mean that no information is transmitted to Google. While analytics_storage is denied, the configured Google Analytics tags should not read or write analytics cookies or persistent analytics identifiers. Google describes how it uses data from sites that use its services in its partner sites and apps notice.

If you accept analytics, analytics_storage changes to granted. GA4 can then use analytics cookies and identifiers to measure site use. The information is used for site and editorial reporting; no advertising or remarketing tags are configured by this site.

Change or withdraw your choice

Use the persistent Privacy choices control in the footer to reopen the choices. Select Reject optional analytics to withdraw an earlier acceptance. Your choice is stored in your browser so it can be restored on later pages and visits. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies on the current page and the prompt may return after navigation or reload.

Google's Privacy Policy explains Google's broader data practices. When GA4 is enabled, its data retention and other property settings are managed by Rise and Rank in Google Analytics. Contact [email protected] with a question about the site's use of analytics.
